Purified water quality class / standard: EN 285

EnviroProcess (Former Processing Finland) delivered duplicated water treatment system at 2018-2019 to the Tampere University Hospital new D building CSSD. In addition to the water treatment devices, the project included duplicated purified water distribution loops with all accessories. Loops were made in hygienic PP Natur material with IR-welding and those calculated total length was nearly 400 meters. The water treatment was carried out with the necessary pretreatment devices and two Evoqua Protegra RO devices.

Purified water is used instrument washing machines, autoclaves, endoscope washers and in one hospital large capacity washer. Total amount of machines connected to purified water system is up to 25.

The nominal output of the WT system is 2x500 l/h with both units of their own 1000-liter hygienic tanks. In a case of failure, the systems can be connected to each other to ensure that if one RO breaks down none of the CSSD machines stops. Both loops equipped with automatic loops flush according loop conductivity or/and temperature to ensure good quality water access the CSSD.
