Indoor and outdoor swimming pools
The developer: Municipality of Oslo
Main contractor pools and water treatment: ENWA Bathing facilities / Enviroprocess Norway AS
Architect: ASPLAN VIAK
The new Tøyenbadet swimming pool in Oslo is one of Norway's largest swimming facilities. Construction began in 2022 and the facility was largely completed in 2025.
The facility has a total of 10 pools: indoor section with 50 x 25 m competition pool, diving pool with 1, 3 and 5 m diving boards, training pool 12.5 x 9 m with raised/lowered bottom, children's pool, warm pool, family pool and outdoor section with all-year pool, children's pool, family pool, 25 m swimming pool and diving pool with 1, 3 and 5 m diving boards.
Several of the pools, all made of acid-proof steel, are equipped with massage systems, water features and underwater lighting
Generally speaking, after oil platforms, the construction of bathing facilities is one of the most complicated things you can build. Due to its size and scope, the new Tøyenbadet was very demanding to complete. As a company, we are proud to have completed this project both on time and without overruns (for our share of the project).
