THE OPENNESS ACT
STATEMENT BY ENVIROPROCESS NORWAY AS
As a responsible business, EnviroProcess Norway AS takes its social responsibility seriously. We are committed to conducting our business in an ethical and sustainable manner. In accordance with the requirements of the Transparency Act §5, we wish to provide an account of our practices and measures within basic human rights, decent working conditions and responsible business practices.
As part of the Transparency Act project, EnviroProcess Norway AS has updated routines and practices for activity assessments in line with the requirements of the Transparency Act. In addition, we have reviewed and updated the plan for auditing suppliers based on risk assessments.
The procurement process and supplier risk assessments are important in promoting respect for fundamental human rights and decent labour conditions. Therefore, we have implemented measures to identify and manage any risks related to these areas. We conduct regular assessments and audits of our suppliers to ensure that they operate in accordance with relevant policies and standards. We work closely with our suppliers to ensure that they comply with basic human rights and decent labour conditions.
Based on our assessments, our operations generally pose limited risk of negative impacts in the areas of fundamental human rights and decent work. Competent, satisfied and committed employees are one of our most important input factors. EnviroProcess Norway AS is known for having a good and inclusive working environment. We have competitive conditions in all job categories and facilitate a good balance of working life. The Group has no restrictions for its own employees when it comes to organising in trade unions. However, we are aware that the greatest risk relates to the procurement of foreign raw materials. To minimise any negative impact, EnviroProcess Norway AS tries as far as possible to buy through large, recognised and reputable distributors, who in turn have strict requirements and good follow-up of their subcontractors. We closely monitor our suppliers and require documentation to ensure that they fulfil our standards and guidelines. As part of the work in connection with the Transparency Act, the company's Supplier Code of Conduct document has been updated with additional information, requirements and guidelines to cover both human rights and decent labour requirements. As of now, the Group is not aware of any violations of human rights or decent labour standards, either internally or at the supplier level.
Our "Responsible Business and Human Rights Policy" is also updated, adopted and embedded in the organisation. We have the following guidelines to ensure responsible practices:
