Responsibility from field to fork.
The largest biorefinery in the Nordic region and part of Lantmännen,
an agricultural cooperative owned by 25,000 Swedish farmers, with operations throughout the entire value chain from field to fork. Our refining process yields three main products – ethanol, protein and carbon dioxide. We process each of these into sustainable products such as fuel, animal feed and carbonic acid. Agroetanol has sales of around 1.7 billion Swedish kronor and approximately 90 employees. Lantmännen has around 10,000 employees, operates in 20 countries and has an annual turnover of SEK 40 billion.

Background information: The first contact between Processing and LM Agroetanol was established at the fair ProcessTeknik in Göteborg 2018. During 2019 Processing was asked about a possible RO-delivery, wich lead to that Processing and EnviroChemie was given the confidence to deliver the entire project.
Suppliers: Processing and EnviroChemie, engineering, systems delivery, assembly, commissioning, service and after sale.
Challange/demand: Stormwater treatment before discharge to Bråviken. Very strict limit values regarding organic matters like TOC/chemical and biological treatment with a oxidation polishing.
Technique: Biomar® OMB – aerobic membrane bioreactor system, including chemical and physical pre-treatment, and Envochem® AOP – advanced oxidation process.
